Everytime I feel small or try to go into little space I always end up feeling an overwhelming sadness or fear but I don't know why? I just feel so sad and I can't control it or understand it and everytime I feel little I get upset and just cry but I don't know how to stop or how to help it stop?

Maybe it doesn't need to stop? I understand that when going into little space feeling sad is likely not the feeling you want to feel but maybe it's indicative of something you're meant to see and experience. Maybe instead of making not-sad the goal, try finding ways to support that little side of you in being sad and working through it. If a young person was showing signs of sadness in front of you, how would you support them? Letting them know you want to help, giving them snacks, water, maybe a comfort item if they have one. If you have a caregiver in your life, maybe they can play a role in supporting your little side in feeling the feelings and staying present.

I like to say that feelings are like quantum particles -- as soon as you sit and look at them they have a tendency to move and shift. You may find if you give yourself to feel that sadness in a supported and intentional way, you'll be able to move on from it without pushing it away.

If this doesn't sound appealing, maybe others have different ideas that may help. Good luck!
