Sense I was working with colored pencils I decided to go for impressionist type thing using different colors to invoke a mood. In this case I wanted to capture that haunting bitter sweet mood of hearing bells at dusk. That sense of beauty and yet being aware of the passage of time that reminds you that all things end. Reinforced by the transitory nature of this moment. I can just picture the bells as a chorus of Ave Maria rises in the background. So I started by shading pinks and purples into the top to give the idea of the sky at dusk. I used that particular faded yellow because it made me think brass and brass = bells
