I've never worn a real diaper before, Ive experimented with making a couple just to see what its like but I really want to try with a real one. There are just so many! Anyone have any suggestions for a brand or style they prefer? I do intend on wetting them, and so far, will be changing myself so absorbancy is a plus. Thanks!

The rearz diapers are pretty good for absorbency in my experience, but if you want more options you can go on abdlfactory and search by how much they hold. Abuniverse is also a good option since they sell "powerups" which are just pads you put in for extra absorbency, and have the added bonus of being one of the few sites that offers free shipping. I hope i gave enough information, but I'm here if you need more help

Try taking a look at Abena Abri-Form or Bambino diapers, both of those are quite absorbent. It can be tricky to do the tapes by yourself the first few times though, so there's always a risk of leaks! If you wear something tight-fitting over the top you can compensate for this though. The trade off with diapers that are very absorbent is that they're thicker, heavier, and a lot more noticeable, which is fine if you're just at home but if you plan on going out at all you might want to look for something more discrete :) Good luck with it all!

Personally I use ABU Space, but thats for a few reasons. They do hold quite a bit though, I dont think I've filled one to bursting yet, and that was 3 big wets it held easy. It also has alien print that disappears in contact with water, so unless you were wetting on your back you would be able to check how full it was easily by yourself. The plastic is also pretty sturdy so I've not had a rip yet(a problem I had with their Barebums). For europe I know Nappies R Us does samples so if you wanted you could try a few(the samples are also in packs of 2 so you can really test the style instead of that one diapee). I think in the US you can get them straight from ABU but not sure. Their clothe backed playschool ones are also super soft and nice, but you would have to be careful about multiple wets, and they are easier to rip or soak so I had a harder time changing myself cleanly.

Good question! For me I think there are a variety you could choose from in terms of absorbency. I think it will also depend on how much you wet though as to which ones are going to last you the longest. For me an Aww So Cute diaper can last me roughly 8-10 hours with several wettings. I also really the Molicare diapers as they last quite a while as well. Any of the ABU do really well too, other than I would say the cloth back diapers, I find they do not absorb as well for me for some reason. What I would do in your situation to get a feel for some of the diapers without buying a whole case right off the start is looking for those that offer sample packs and see how you liked the different ones from different brands. Hope this helps! Good luck and happy wearing!
