What would you say makes the perfect little?
Would you punish your little for not eating or for purging (making themselves throw-up)?

Every CG has their own rules and preferences.
Personally I look for a connection with my little, not any particular singular trait. DDlg is part of the relationship, but not the entirety.
As for punishments, I try to avoid them. I try to use gentle encouragement first. If punishment becomes needed, it will be within our negotiated limits, and hopefully not a frequent thing. Play "punishment" is a different matter, however.
