Hey @Azure and Vanilla :) nice to meet you.
I think you are getting closer in that explanation, although I haven't really thought about itit, so please bear within me?
I am not a little all the time,so dressing in a onesie is a waybad for me to facilitate the transition from adult me to little me. I think they make me feel safe and happy because I associate them with relaxing my guard. Especially now that I don't have a CG to bath and dress me it helps put me in a joyful space.
I've never thought of the baby joy association! That might be true! I experience it as something I do only as a little, and that I am dang cute in.
Does that help at all?

Reading this topic blew my mind. I didn’t know there were people who discriminate over people NOT wearing diapers.

It’s an item of clothing. They’re almost exactly like a bodysuit or whatever they’re called, like they sell at Forever21 or ASOS or whatever just in cutesier patterns.

Just to clarify...
As a Community that is under constant scrutiny...
The impression here is that because adult onesies are aesthetically marketed toward those into diaper wearing, those who do not wear diapers are out of place for wearing them.
If someone markets a bar of soap to people as a lollipop, does that mean everyone has to lick it? Because I can guarantee the majority of people will just put it in the shower because it’s still just soap. Just as onesies are still just clothing.

Yet despite the fact that pacifiers, kids toys, plushies, dolls (with the exclusion of collectibles or Funko Pops for e.g.), sippy cups, baby bottles- all that fun stuff- are marketed for actual children... that’s fine and without question?

I’m always bothered when I come across content on Little based forums that sounds somewhat isolative toward certain other types of Littles. Because this obviously bothered you enough to create a post about it, which of course you have a right to. But it bothered me enough to feel compelled into responding to it.

Hey! I'm back to elaborate. I understand your perspective a bit better now, and I think the reason things are different for us is because we have two very different definitions of littlespace. Whereas for you two littlespace is more an expression of your true inner self, for me it is more an escape into a different mindset that is less stressful than my adult one. It might make more sense to you that only people who have a younger little age wear onesies because those people are expressing themselves as that age, whereas for me the purpose of my littlespace is solely to promote comfort and relaxation. That is why I occasionally use little gear that doesn't necessarily align with my little age; it helps me calm down instead of helping me to express my identity.

Side topic: Littlespace is age regression and is a form of self-expression for our community. That IS what the community is about.
Self-expression. Not a blanket statement "stress relief."

It is not JUST a form of stress relief.
It should NEVER be JUST a form of stress relief. The stress relief comes from being able to express yourself! Just like when someone is transgender and they finally "pass" in public they feel elated and relieved of social stress because they finally are expressing themselves!

We are a COMMUNITY for a reason! We aren't a "form of stress relief" and that's it. We are people who identify as being little, being atypical compared to other adults. If you're "little" just because you want stress relief but it isn't who you are really then you don't belong here.

If you need to relieve your stress then exercise. Journal. Meditate. Watch tv or movies. Read a book. Listen to music. Go to a comedy club. Change your diet. Swim. Take a walk. Sing or karaoke. Go to the spa. Get a massage. Volunteer at the animal shelter. Dance. Take a nap. Hang out with your friends. Go to a comedy club. Play a game... a REAL, ACTUAL game not a game where you pretend to be a little but you're not because that's like cat fishing when it comes to connecting to other, REAL people in the community.

Don't take on the label and identity of someone you're not!

That's incredibly disheartening and sickening to see some claimed "little" say. You are NOT a little!

If it isn't who you are internally then GTFO. We don't have time for fakers who just need to "relax" but their identity, who they are inside at all, has nothing to do with littlespace.

Hey! Back again to this thread, ha. And I in no way mean to be rude, but, ah... I am a transgender person. And although I'm pretty sure you didn't intend for your comment to be harmful, it really is. Comparing gender dysphoria and being trans to being a little or age regressor is just very ignorant in terms of the understanding one has of both communities. I don't mean to undermine your experience, since it really is an honest and important one. However, age regressors and littles who use littlespace solely as a form of stress relief or a coping mechanism also exist and are just as valid as you. Saying that how I use my littlespace is "sickening" or that you "don't have time for fakers" is really just unkind. I understand your perspective, as, like I mentioned, I am a trans person myself. I know what it's like to express yourself and your identity in a way society deems unfit, I know what it's like to find a community of similar people, and I know what it's like to have others attack or corrupt that community. But the way you addressed me and my comment is hurtful and uneccessary. CGL and AB is a community of people who partake in any form of ageplay or age regression, and to say that there is a "wrong" way to be little is just not true. As long as your littlespace is healthy and not harmful to yourself or others, it is a good thing. Even if you did have an issue with what I said, unsing insulting language isn't helping anyone. Thank you for your time and may you recieve all the little gear your itty bitty heart desires! <3
